Description of Concert:
Join in an evening of uplifting music that truly inspires peace in your heart, mind and soul. Through her deep devotion to the Divine, Snatam Kaur delivers a heart opening performance that combines musical traditions of East and West. Her enchanting voice along with sacred music and mantra will bring you an experience of inner peace to cherish.
Our ability to come together in this musical celebration of the spirit of peace reminds us that peace is within us and always available to us.
Snatam Kaur's awe-inspiring voice delivers the Divine Sound Current that resonates in all of us. Come join us to celebrate the healing and uplifting sounds of Snatam Kaur's Sacred Chant Concert!

Description of Children's Program during the Sacred Chant Concert:
Snatam Kaur loves children and her concerts reflect her enthusiasm for the youth of the world. During the Concert, children will be invited to join Snatam Kaur to participate in a "sing-along", celestial communication, and other beautiful and graceful activities.
Before this specific period of the Concert, all children under 12 years of age are welcome to participate in the Children's Program which includes crafts, snacks, games and art. The Children's Program will be monitored by young adults who will usher the children into the Shrine at the appropriate time during the Concert.
After this portion of the Concert, children are free to join their parents at the Shrine or return to the Shrine Hall for more Children's activities. The cost of Children's Program is $10.00 per child (regardless of whether a parent purchases premium or general admission tickets).
Although you do not need to purchase a ticket in advance for your child to participate in the Children's Program, we would request an RSVP at info@3hoil.org by July 15, 2009 to help us determine care requirements and snack and activity quantities. Actual registration for the Children's Program will take place at the Shrine on the day of the Concert and payment arrangements can be taken care of on July 21, 2009 as well.

Description of Children's Yoga Workshop:
Snatam Kaur takes children on a yoga adventure through imaginative stories, songs, mantras in motion and yoga exercises. Magically woven into the adventure, Snatam conveys basic yogic principles to give children the tools to be peaceful inside and in their lives. Parents are welcome. Begin your child's yoga practice today and discover how fun yoga can be for your children.
The workshop is modeled after Snatam's new children's yoga DVD "Shanti the Yogi - Mountain Adventure" and features music from Snatam's newly released children's album "Feeling Good Today!"

Join Snatam Kaur and GuruGanesha Singh for an in-depth evening workshop dedicated to opening your voice to the essence of your soul's song. Experience the power of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation to rejuvenate your physical body, clear your mind, and open the spiritual gateway for your voice to emerge. Discover your personal relationship to sacred and transformative mantras. Through ancient singing techniques, you can develop your own daily practice from this experience, and let the flow of your voice change your life forever.
This event is generously hosted for the benefit of the Spirit Rising Foundation by Lisa Faremouth Weber (Sat Inder Kaur) and her wonderful community of healers and yogis at Heaven Meets Earth Yoga. Heaven Meets Earth Yoga is a great friend of the international 3HO and Spirit Rising Foundation communities and we wanted to make sure to acknowledge them for their valuable contributions to the Chicagoland Kundalini Yoga community and the Yoga Community as a whole. The Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii is a holy place of pilgrimage consecrated, in the Roman Catholic Tradition, to Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary. The Shrine is a center of hospitality, evangelization and spiritual growth, founded in the Italian tradition and culture. It is located in Chicago's Near West Side and build in the 1920s. With its rich cultural diversity, the Shrine stands as a testimony to the faith and generosity and is open to peoples of all faiths as a " Place to Pray for Peace."

Driving Directions:
From I-290 (Eisenhower) Eastbound: exit Racine, turn right (south), go past light at Harrison, Lexington Street is the stop sign, turn right (west).
From I-94 (Dan Ryan) Northbound: Roosevelt/Taylor exit. Turn left (west) on Roosevelt Rd. Proceed to Racine, turn right (north) on Racine, go past Taylor St. Lexington St. is the stop sign, turn left (west).
From I-90 (Kennedy) Southbound: take far right lane into I-290 and exit immediately at Morgan. Turn left (south) to Harrison, Turn right (west) on Harrison. Proceed to Racine. Turn left (south) on Racine. Lexington St. is the stop sign, turn right (west).
Chicago "L" Directions:
Take the Chicago "L" Blue line and exit Racine.
Once outside the Racine CTA Terminal, take a right, walking over the I-290.
Continue walking on Racine for a few blocks until you reach W. Lexington St.
Take a right Lexington. The Shrine will be a few units down on the right hand side at 1224 W. Lexington St.

Need-Based Seva Scholarship Opportunities Available
Yogi Bhajan, the yoga master responsible for introducing Kundalini Yoga to the West, is famous for many things, including his themes and thought-provoking messages. They are often practical, insightful and purposeful. One of the community's favorite messages is:
"We Are The People,
The People Of Love,
Let Us Love Each Other Today."
It is with this same profound spirit of love that the Spirit Rising Foundation, Snatam Kaur, GuruGanesha Singh and the Spirit Voyage family have set aside a limited number of tickets to the Concert for those within the community without the means to pay for a ticket. We understand that these economic times are difficult. In the true spirit of the Kundalini Yoga Community, the Aquarian Age, the Aquarian Business Model with which the Spirit Rising Foundation operates, please know that your current financial hardship should not be a barrier to participating in the Divine Sacred Chants experience and unity of the Kundalini Yoga community.

Road Trip Coordinator Campaign
Do you live outside the Chicagoland area? If so, and if you'd like to help us with the Road Trip Coordinator Campaign, please email us at info@3hoil.org. The Road Trip Coordinator Campaign is designed to generate excitement for Snatam Kaur's visit to Chicago with a hope that Snatam Kaur and her band make the Midwest (not only Chicago, but other cities in our region) a yearly visit!
The goal of the Road Trip Coordinator Campaign is to provide a service to those who live outside the Chicagoland area who are considering coming to Chicago to attend the Concert and Workshops. Through the Road Trip Coordinator Campaign, anyone outside Chicago who would like to make the trip to Chicago can reach out to the "Road Trip Coordinator" for that particular state and coordinate a road trip to Chicago! Everyone benefits from working together! The Concert is infused with a vibration from not only Chicago, but all parts of the Midwest (other parts of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Minnesota, Missouri, and Wisconsin). Travel costs are shared between members traveling together (for example sharing lodging, gas, and other expenses). And of course, most importantly, your own community is strengthened by joining together on an adventurous roadtrip to the " Prana" City!
If you're interested in serving as a Road Trip Coordinator, please let us know! We'd be happy to send you flyers for the Concert and Workshops. We'd also be happy to help you find housing here in Chicago (this site already has some options for housing for you!). Simply put, we'd be honored to have you and, believe us, we'll make sure Snatam Kaur knows you are here from another state so that hopefully in 2010 and beyond, the Band will consider a full-blown road-show for the Midwest! To the extent you are interested in serving as a Road Trip Coordinator, please email us at info@3hoil.org and provide us with your name, phone number and location (city and state). Based on the responses we receive, we will select a Road Trip Coordinator for each state shortly. For larger states, there may be more than one Road Trip Coordinator (based on city)!
